Not as good quality as the gold ones January 2, 2009 Anonymous Shopper (USA) I purchased two of these after having great success with 4 gold ones; I thought these would look better in my kitchen due to the stainless appliances. However, unlike the gold ones, the light sensors on both of these don't work as well. One in particular needs to be turned completely off then on before it detects low light every single night, otherwise it never comes on. Also, the batteries seem to move about in their compartment a little more than with the gold ones. I assumed these would be identical to the gold ones other than their finish, and they were packaged exactly the same, but the difference in quality is obvious. I still rated these 3 stars in case I just got a few older ones by some unlucky chance.
Good Quality for the price December 10, 2008 LC08 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Compare these to the Plow and Hearth lights and you can save a few dollars per light. I did not realize they flickered. and at first was disappointed about that, however, the flicker is quite realistic and pleasant. The light is not overly bright, and the battery lasts about a month as stated. I just replaced the batteries and they shine much brighter. The sensor is pretty sensitive and in a darker room the lights seem to be on all day. Overall a good buy.
Great, subtle lights November 16, 2007 TheHappyHermit (Medina, NY, USA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
We originally bought similar lights by GE, but they seemed too bright, and I didn't like how they flickered. Also, the GE lights took 3 AA batteries each. My parents bought these Good Tidings lights, so I decided to try them out also. I think they are great, and they take just 2 AA batteries each. The flicker of these candles seems more realistic than the GE brand. An earlier reviewer complained that they weren't bright enough to see from the road 100 feet away. He/She probably should try the GE brand. However, if you want something more quaint and subtle, try these Good Tidings lights. For a small house in a village, they seem perfect.
Slow to receive January 9, 2007 Barney (Delmar, DE) 8 out of 13 found this review helpful
I purchased this product for Christmas and although I am very happy with the product, I would never purchase from the vendor, Ace Hardware Outlet again. They told me the product shipped 2 days after I placed my order but it never did. Finally, 3 weeks and 3 phone calls later, I finally received it. Not happy with vendor at all.
