Amazon.com Product Description Keep your sports training focused with the stylish Timex T5E231 Ironman Triathlon multi-function, performance sport digital watch, which features a dark gray resin top ring sitting upon a metallic silver case and top pusher for easy access to split and lap times. Sport timing features include a 100-hour chronograph with lap or split option, 100-lap memory recall, 199 lap counter, on-the-fly recall of lap or split, and interval timers settable up to 24 hours (9 timers with countdown/stop and countdown/repeat). The training log stores workouts by date, with best lap, average lap, and total segment time, and the total run format/synchro timer maintains total activity time (less time paused during workout and overall running time. Other features include two time zones, built-in setting reminders, water resistance to 100 meters, and a black resin strap. It incorporates the Timex Flix system, which activates the Indiglo night-light with a simple flick of your wrist. To activate FLIX, put the watch into Night-Mode by pressing and holding the Indiglo night-light button 3 seconds until it beeps. With the watch in Night-Mode, a forward "flick" of the wrist with a sharp "stop" will activate the Indiglo night-light for three seconds. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

Good, but not great. January 4, 2009 daniel p (Savannah, GA) This is a good watch. Generally speaking it does everything I need it to but I am disappointed somewhat. The first problem I had was that the watch had not been assembled correctly. The pin to hold the band apparently was never seated properly and the watch "broke" after I was wearing it for only about half an hour. Luckily, I was in my house and noticed immediately and was able to pick up the parts and reassemble it correctly. That was unacceptable to me. The watch could have easily been lost and I would have been out of $45.00. As far as the FLIX technology goes, it is decent. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out a way to keep the function on all the time. When I turn the function on, it will stay on for several hours and then revert back to normal operation. To me, this doesn't make complete sense...If I want the function, then I want it all the time, I don't want to play games figuring out whether or not I need to flick my wrist or push a button. Other than those two issues, I am confident that this will be a great watch just like all the other Ironmans I have owned. 3 Stars because of the problem with the band, and because the FLIX technology I think could be improved.
Great watch for running training December 30, 2008 Khoo Kian Thong (San Francisco, CA USA) I purchased this watch about a couple of months ago for marathon training & usual usage too, to keep time & store it to keep track of improvement & etc, I love this watch for it is able to store up to 100 laps of records & besides, it's quite light, I hardly feel its weight when I wear for running. It also display two timezones, sometimes I'm required to fly for work to another timezone. This actually feels like a bonus to its already splendid features!! Love this watch!!
Simple and effective December 29, 2008 C. Berry For athletes and non-athletes alike, this watch does everything you need. It's simple, durable, and effective. I've been running, biking, and swimming with it incessantly and haven't had any problems. The "Flex" technology is sort of useless, but other than that it's a great watch! Highly recommended.

Wow. Excellent watch; Does exactly what I need. As a referee I use this as a backup to the official time and it works great. Thanks
Ole reliable December 16, 2008 Zman (MA facing NH) This is my 3rd or 4th Timex "Ironman" Good value, easy to setup, easy to read. The watch has more functions than most people would care to use. The night display is good. The flix feature works, but I can just as easily press the button, porbably out of habit. I wear this mostly for work, at the gym, outdoors. Bang for buck you cant go wrong.
