Product Description A waterproof, breathable insulated boot with Active Shell Technology&$TRADE; for lightweight, flexible Sorel fit.
Amazon.com Product Description This rugged boot from Sorel is an ideal winter weather boot for those who tend to find themselves in extreme conditions. Constructed from waterproof nubuck and suede leather, the boot is seam sealed to keep feet warm and dry. The built-in gaiter/bootie has an easy barrel lock closure for walking in deep snow and an Achilles adjustment strap, which can be tightened to further provide ankle support for uneven terrain. The removable EVA comfort footbed reduces weight and adds thermal protection for long days in the cold, and the Thinsulate insulation has a rating down to a very chilly minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

Amazing boots for an Amazing price!!!!!!!! December 19, 2008 C. Jahn (Copper Mtn, Colorado USA) Love Love these boots. Yes they hurt your feet for about 3 days because you gotta break them in,but they keep you warm and dry. If you are in the cold all day long like me they are great. If you aren't in the cold and your feet sweat they aren't to good cause then your feet will end up freezing. I work at a ski resort and most of the people working outside use these boots. I would recommend them to everybody.
Wonderful Boot December 15, 2008 Phoenix Rising (Baghdad, Iraq) The Sorel Men's Conquest Boot I purchased exceeds my expectations. I was looking for a general PAC boot to use in Germany and Austria during the winter as part of the ski patrol/ back country search and rescure. this boot more than meets my needs either with or without snowshoes attached. It is warm and durable enough for me to use back in Fairbanks, Alaska, and much less than standard Alaskan prices.
Great Boots December 2, 2008 toofastdave (Afghanistan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these boots for the upcoming Winter in Afghanistan. My first impression was "wow" what a great boot. I don't normally spend this kind of money on a boot but I am VERY impressed with the boot. The drawstring at the top of the boot, the clips to hold the draw at the back of the boot... VERY VERY nice boot. It hasn't gotten cold enough here to wear the boots on a regular basis but I have worn them. The boots are comfortable to walk in but not very good for those days where it is above 75 degrees. My feet were sweating and I had to change to a lighter boot. I am looking forward to colder weather so I can wear the boots out and about to see how warm they can keep my feet in the snow and cold. For anyone who likes "manly" boots and the good look of a boot then this is the boot for you. Would be nice if they breathed a little more..but then again they aren't really hiking boots. :) I would buy them again and definitely from the same store. Great customer service and great packing job / shipment response. I received them in Afghanistan in less than a week.
Great for snowblowing! November 30, 2008 A. Lindeman (Clinton, MA) I purchased these for snow blowing my driveway. Great traction with the tread. I've not had any issues with cold feet in them like another reviewer, however I'm not standing still in them and the coldest I've been outside with this is about -5 F. I did just take them snowshoeing and they worked out just fine- only went about 3 miles- would probably want lighter boots to go further.
The Perfect Winter Boot February 11, 2008 milominderbinder2 (United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Sizing: Feels half size too small Pros:Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses:Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Stadium, Wet Weather This is a great cold weather boot. Wear them for winter hiking, camping, or to a cold football game. There is a shorter, lighter, but not quite as warm version, the Sorel Timberwolf. Of course you should apply waterproofing to any boot such as Niwax. Finally, warm boots won't help if you do not layer with good long underwear and hat or balaclava.
