Product Description The Giro Indicator Sport Bike Helmet is constructed with in-mold technology that fuses a tough outer microshell to the helmet's EPS foam liner. The fusion process reinforces areas around vents and ribs, making the helmet lighter, cooler and tougher. The Indicator utilizes Giro's Acu Dial system, which combines single-handed adjustment with a full-fit band for a quick, sure fit. This Giro helmet features a snap-fit visor, and 20 vents that allow cool, fresh air in and stale, warm air out. The Indicator sport helmet comes in Giro's Universal Fit Adult U size (54-61cm), carefully sculpted and size-specific to simplify the fitting process. Giro's Indicator helmet is a lightweight 285 grams, and complies with U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's safety standards for bicycle helmets. Helmet Tips--You Should Always... - Wear a helmet when you ride
- Wear your helmet low in the front to protect the forehead
- Fasten your buckle and tighten your chin strap
- Check your adjustments every time you wear your helmet
- Inspect your helmet regularly for signs of wear or damage
- Wear a helmet designed for your activity
About Giro Working late nights in his garage, designer/bike racer Jim Gentes created the first lightweight adult cycling helmet in 1985. Friends at NASA helped tune the final helmet shape and vent placement, and the result was the Giro Prolight, a helmet that was better looking than traditional designs while offering a superior fit and still met the industry's toughest safety standards. Plus, it was half the weight of traditional helmets. Since then, Giro has advanced its helmets, many of which have set the standards for styling, function, and innovation for progressive, performance-oriented riders on dirt, pavement, and snow. Giro helmets are worn by millions of riders, cyclists, skiers, and snowboarders around the world. Young-bloods and old-timers; hard-cores, heshers, and hipsters; rookies, experts, and a few regular Joes too--in fact, pretty musch anyone that appreciates superior fit and function, cutting edge styling, and the very best ideas you get in a helmet.

Helmet - well done January 7, 2009 J. Quinlan (Tucson, AZ United States) This was half the price of the least expensive helmet I tried on at the stores. The air-flow through the helmet is excellent. A thumb knob at the back of the helmet enables easy/quick adjustment of the fit to snugness. Feel this provides all the safety I can expect regardless of price.
Non Dorky Good Helmet December 6, 2008 T. Lo (New York, New York) Great price on this helmet, normally I've seen this in stores for around [...]. It fits great with plenty of adjustment available and even though I normally look dorky in most helmets, this one looks pretty slick. I have yet to experience a crash and hope not to, but from the sounds of it this guy will keep my noggin safe.
Good for the price November 10, 2008 Michael For a $30 helmet, it seems good enough. The size can be adjusted for both the chin straps and the back of the head. The only knock I have on it is that the extra pads that come with it don't stick well at all. They even fall out when I am wearing the thing (not sure how that happens). I ended up super gluing the remaining pads inside the helmet.
Street Bike Helmet October 17, 2008 Mr. Fix It (Kodiak, Alaska) Good Helmet comes with self sticking pads to get a good fit to form the shape of your head. I just don't like how the straps sit once helmet is strapped to your head. The straps are curled just below your ear lobe. I much rather they sat flat against my cheek. That's why I give the helmet 3 stars. I am sure the "Skid-Lid" is great for crash protection. I hope I don't get to find out....
Great Helmet October 14, 2008 Alberto J. Gosaric (New York city, NY) Great product, for affordable price. Nice and easy to fix to my head size. very good buy!!!
