The product performs as advertised. The problem is related to the size of your dog. I have a small dog and the height adjustment doesn't allow for the water dog to be low enough for my dog. An adjustment that allows the entire water dog to pivot or tip would make this product perform better for small or short dogs.

I purchased one of these last year for my german sherpard and I absolutely love it! I have it connected on my front porch.
My dog was trained easily to use it and knows exactly where to go when thirsty.
The only thing I do is every day I wave my hand in front of it to activate it to run the water from sitting in the line all night. So I get fresh cold water every time for my buddy.
