Product Description Guaranteed to reduce shedding better than any brush or comb. Reduces shedding up to 90%. Brings out the pets natural oils, leaving a shiny and healthy coat. Also removes dander that causes allergies. Dramatically reduces feline hairballs. The unique stainless steel edge grabs the texture of the undercoat & loose dead hair and removes it while gliding through and not damaging the topcoat. Works great on all shedding dogs & cats, long & short hair.

Not bad. Better than others. November 19, 2008 Jonathan Lim (Atlanta, GA) The Furminator works ok. I am happy with the purchase and only wish there were a better way to remove loose hair. The topcoat is not damaged in the process. My only complaint would be the plastic blade guard that does not stay in place
The FURminator November 19, 2008 K. Warren (VA BCH) Really works well. Dog seems to shed less and my cat loves it. He is hacking up less hairballs. Thank you.
If only the kitty would tolerate it! November 18, 2008 KushKush (Greater NYC) Is this the dream cat-grooming tool you've been waiting for? Yes and no. It does take off more hair than anything else out there. However, the video on the manufacturer's website is a best-case scenario. My cat, a shorthair who seems to shed tumbleweeds of fur in his wake, hates the Furminator and will not hold still long enough for me to do a really good job with it. And if you watch the video, you'll see that they grab and stretch that cat's skin. My guy bolts when I try to grab him that way! In fact, no one I know using it on a shorthair says it takes off as much as it does in the video. Our vet says that in his experience, cats with colorations like mine shed much more than average. I've had to stop wearing black clothes because kitty's white belly fur is just too hard to remove. The Furminator is a good and useful product, but I still won't be buying any sleek black clothing anytime soon.
The best shedding tool ever November 18, 2008 Lab Lover (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) This thing works GREAT on my two Labrador Retrievers. It gets down to the undercoat and removes piles and piles of hair. A regular dog hairbrush cannot do this. An amazing product!
The FURminator deShedding Tool Works for Me! November 18, 2008 Ann Joy (Hyannis, Ma United States) I finally bought this item last week, after my friends and family started to complain about the dog hairs that were everwhere! My Shepherd is losing his undercoat, and this fall season seems to be the worst ever! I have used all my grooming tools the past month, and the hairs kept coming.. Last week, the Furminator arrived, and the 1st day, in only 5 minutes, had a pile of hair that could have made a baby sweater. The dog enjoyed it, the same as the regular brush. I continue to use it this week, but every day, the pile of hair becomes smaller...Today, there was just a tiny bit. I cant recommend this tool enough, especially if you have a shepherd with an undercoat! This will save you hours of housework! On a rating from 1-10, I rate it a 12!
